Global Sourcing has become the new buzzword as companies scramble to position themselves as capable of manufacturing offshore. The reality is that large companies are unable to quickly shift production as the world economy moves at lightning speed, and smaller companies rarely invest the time and resources to develop factory direct relationships in far away countries. Storreytime Is different.
At Storreytime we make frequent trips abroad to build relationships and source new products from many countries including China, Thailand, Bangladesh, and India. We are constantly updated on new duty and trade laws. In 2005 when the U.S. re-established quotas on many Chinese textile imports we had already shifted all affected product to other countries and our service to customers was never affected.
- Factory Direct Sourcing: At Storreytime we work directly with the offshore factories. We handle the importing paperwork, letters of credit, and money transfers in house.
- Production Duplication: Many of our competitors have production tied up in a single country or even a single factory. At Storreytime we believe that World events and trade laws change too frequently to allow this level of risk. For any of our large programs we source the product(s) in at least two different countries in order to assure we have our production risk properly balanced.
- Offshore Quotation and Sourcing Department: Storreytime can typically supply customers with custom and offshore quotes within 24 hours.
- Product Testing: Storreytime tests sample product domestically and through third party testing services before it leaves the country of origin. Storreytime has never had an offshore order rejected by a customer.
- Factory Audits: The factory conditions of our offshore suppliers are extremely important to us. Storreytime inspects the factory working conditions of our core suppliers.
